We Are
Kundalini University

A living lineage. A space to learn, practice, deepen + contribute.

Kundalini University is the online home of Guru Singh and a growing global community of seekers, practitioners, and teachers devoted to the inner work of remembering who they are.

With authentic foundations, we remain oriented to growth, refinement, and conscious evolution. You are part of that living process.

We offer accredited 200-hour and 300-hour teacher trainings, workshops, immersive webinars, mentorship, and community membership designed to support meaningful transformation through practice, relationship, and lived experience. Our curriculum weaves together meditation, breathwork, mantra, yoga asana, subtle body sciences, devotional practice, and grounded lifestyle teachings ~ shared in real time through live learning and direct transmission, by teachers and students who continue to approach both yoga and life with humility, curiosity, reverence, and an open heart.

At Kundalini University, we help shape teachers and leaders who live the teachings they share. Through practice, mentorship, accountability, and community, students develop the confidence, clarity, and depth needed to guide others with integrity and compassion.

Ancient roots nourish a living practice.

Yoga is alive, reflecting the dynamism of nature itself. Just as nature changes, so do we. Our participation, awareness, and adaptability are what make what we share at Kundalini University both unique and relevant for modern life. We offer accessible tools that can meet us exactly where we are, day after day, breath by breath.

The teachings we explore together are drawn from traditions thousands of years old: pranayama, mantra, krya, meditation, yoga asana, and the sciences of the subtle body. Since time immemorial, humans have gathered in rhythm, song, and ritual. We have breathed deeply to steady ourselves, placed our bare feet upon the Earth, and looked to nature as a teacher, healer, and mirror. Ancient yogic sciences refined these instinctive human experiences into practical technologies for healing, awareness, and transformation.

Today, science continues to affirm what practitioners and sages have long observed. Research suggests that chanting, breathwork, meditation, and rhythmic practices can influence autonomic nervous system function, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. What ancient traditions understood through direct experience, modern science is increasingly able to observe, measure, and validate.

When engaged within the container of a training, these benefits are often amplified. Connection, co-regulation, shared inquiry, and collective presence create conditions that deepen what may be difficult to access alone. When approached with sincerity and devotion, these tools help restore the body, expand awareness, and reconnect us to a deeper intelligence that has always been present. Sadhana is more than technique. It is a way of being that helps us steward our energy, strengthen our compassion, and move through life’s seasons with greater steadiness and grace.

Learn from lived experience, not just information.

At the heart of Kundalini University is Guru Singh: teacher, musician, author, and living steward of a yogic life carried through generations of devoted practice.

Born into a family already following the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, Guru Singh was raised within a life of yoga, meditation, devotion, music, and spiritual inquiry from an early age. For more than five decades, he has taught Kundalini Yoga to students around the world… in a style that is gentle, grounded, science-informed, musically inspired, and deeply human. His gift is in returning sacred wisdom to everyday life: with warmth, with clarity, with humour, and with a quality of presence that arrives before he says a word.

Alongside his wife, Guruperkarma, Guru Singh supports an international network of students, teachers, couples, artists, and professionals through mentorship, guidance, practice, and community connection. Their work extends far beyond the classroom. It is rooted in dharma ~ a genuine care for people through seasons of transformation, a commitment to preserving the integrity of a yogic life, and a devotion to making ancient wisdom not only accessible but genuinely liveable in the modern world.

Guru Singh is 81 years old. He is still fully present: to the questions, the doubts, the grief, the breakthroughs, and the unfolding lives of his students. There is no archival version of this teaching. No recording that captures what happens when a living elder… one who has practised every day for over fifty years, who has sat with tens of thousands of people across continents and decades… is actually in the room with you.

This is what we mean when we say living transmission. Not a concept. Not a library. A current that passes between a teacher and a student only when both are genuinely present, and that leaves something changed in the student long after the session ends.

At Kundalini University, learning happens through relationship, practice, inquiry, and conversation. Our trainings are not content to consume. They are a held field: a structured, living container in which you are guided not just toward certification, but toward the kind of grounded self-knowledge that makes you a teacher worth sitting with.

“My family, my career, and my inner world have been deeply impacted by my relationship with Guru Singh. He has impeccable integrity and articulation.”

A tended space, well-nourished from the roots ~ making room for what wants to grow

Kundalini University is a container for teaching teachers, for nurturing those just beginning to sense their path, and for cultivating a community that outlasts any single program or cohort. Training programs live within a larger ecosystem, offering dedicated space for deeper inquiry, reflection, and integration beyond classes. We honour tradition, practise reverence through diversity, and recognise what must fall away to make space for what is emerging… in ourselves, and in the collective.

Our trainings are not modelled on anything else out there. They are intentionally designed as held, structured fields of participation, learning, and transformation. Each live cohort moves through the curriculum together, creating a shared rhythm of practice, inquiry, reflection, and growth ~ supported by experienced teachers and a community of fellow practitioners whose insights are shaped through dialogue, lived experience, and meaningful connection.

While technology continues to transform how knowledge is shared, the heart of our approach remains what Guru Singh calls Actual Intelligence: wisdom cultivated through presence, relationship, experience, and the courage to keep learning. Students are welcomed into a space where questions are encouraged, humanity is honoured, and learning unfolds through direct connection with teachers who continue to live what they teach.

In six to eight months, students move from feeling stuck and searching for purpose to being grounded, confident, and ready to carry their truth forward… in a way that resonates beyond the room.

What we are building is not a platform. It is a lineage community ~ where the training does not end at certification, where graduates return, and where the deepening continues on a spiral.

Seven values that guide everything we do

Clarity

Cutting through noise to reveal what is real. Simple, precise language. The courage to name what is muddy and the willingness to evolve what no longer serves. The inner creates the outer.

Harmony

Coherence within self, and resonance with others. Alignment of body, mind, and spirit as one living system… in rhythm with what is true, and in reverence for the throughline of wisdom running through all traditions.

Embodied Integrity

Living the teachings, not just speaking them. Practice before performance. Transmission rooted in lived experience, and responsibility for how teachings land in real lives and real discourse.

Empowerment

An invitation to practice returns people to their own inner authority. We guide; we do not position ourselves as the answer. We offer tools, not dependency. Honouring freedom of expression + autonomy.

Community

Growth happens in relationship. We are cultivating a field of belonging… spaces where people feel safe, seen, and supported to become more fully themselves.

Seva

Service as a natural response to inner coherence. The movement of life through us… when we are resourced enough to give our gifts, our presence, and our time to what matters most.

Transparency

Truth-speaking that builds trust. Open communication about lineage, context, pricing, and structure. No hidden agendas. No inflated promises. What you see is what we are.
